One of the easiest search tools that I found to be useful was  the google search blog.  In the past, I have used Yahoo to search for things before.  Yahoo searches are something I am used to and find easy.  However, Google is always the search engine I go to. I also searched Bing and Topix but I was too distracted by everything else going on in the page rather than searching.  There were some interesting features and tools.  Overall, I think Google is the best search engine to use.
